Policy regarding concerts for the 2021-2022 season, or until further notice

An announcement on September 15, 2021, by the Government of Alberta introduced new temporary measures that gave us two options to present concerts and help maintain the safety of our patrons and volunteers:

  1. Implement the province‚Äôs Restrictions Exemption Program requiring proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test result
  2. Follow business capacity and operating restrictions

Effective October 1, 2021, the Olds Kiwanis Performing Arts Society, is implanting the Restrictions Exemption Program.  Everyone aged 12 years and over, including patrons, volunteers, artists, and contract workers, will be asked to provide one of the following:

Proof of a first single dose of the vaccination, (paper or digital vaccine record that shows name, vaccine type and date of administration) and that it was given more that two weeks prior to the concert date,

  • Proof of a privately paid negative test result taken within 72-hours of a concert.
(tests from AHS or Alberta Precision Laboratories are ineligible for the program)orProof of a valid medical exemption, which is an original (non-copied) signed letter from a physician or nurse practitioner.
In addition, individuals 18 years of age or older must produce valid personal identification as follows:
  • The name and the date of birth of the individual listed on the proofof immunization or testing must be matched with the name and date of birth on the identification (birth certificate, health card, drivers license, etc.)

Effective Monday, October 25th Attendees will be required to have the second dose of a two-dose series given more than two weeks prior to a concert date.  If the second vaccination is not two weeks prior to the date of the concert, the other option is to provide proof of a privately paid, negative test taken within 72-hours of the concert.

Face Masks are required in all indoor public spaces; patrons unable to wear a mask must provide documentation of a medical exemption.

While we require proof of vaccination, we do not store your personal information and until further notice, you will be asked to provide proof of vaccination each time you attend a performance presented by Olds Kiwanis Performing Arts Society.
